How to Web, the most important event dedicated to innovation and entrepreneurship in South-Eastern Europe, reaches its 4th international edition this year. On 20 & 21st of November, at Crystal Palace Ballrooms, over 800 participants will meet world-class speakers. The conference will be again doubled by the second edition of Startup Spotlight, orientation program and competition for early-stage tech startups in the region.
The 2013 edition will cover topics like technology innovation, product development, mobile apps, SaaS, gaming, developing and financing global businesses, as well as the plusses and minuses of the Eastern European market.
How to Web 2013 will once again bring on stage renowned international speakers who will share their experiences in developing innovative products. Some of the already confirmed speakers are Tal Siach – Co-founder and CMO of Visual.ly (Israel), Philipp Kandal – Co-founder & CTO of Skobbler (Germany & Romania), Adii Pienaar – Co-founder and CEO of Woo Themes (South Africa), Kei Simada – Director of Business Development at Dentsu (Japan), Alex Barrera – Chief WOWness Officer at Press42.com (Spain) or Michael Levit – Founder of Spigot.com and Managing Partner of Founders Den (US).
The Startup Spotlight program will bring together the region’s best 32 teams, who will be selected by an international jury and will go through 4 days of mentoring, meeting investors and accelerator representatives, as well as workshops and pitching sessions on the How to Web stages.
The last edition of Startup Spotlight brought representatives of 12 world-class accelerators, like Springboard, GrowLab, Mozilla WebFWD and HackFwd. The best teams got to present their businesses on How to Web’s main stage and winners went home with cash prizes of a total worth of 20.000 USD. Startup Spotlight brings the same format and prizes, with already confirmed representatives of accelerators and investment funds like Jon Bradford – Managing Director of Techstars (UK), Carlos Espinal – Partner at Seedcamp (UK), Sitar Teli – Managing Partner at Connect Ventures (UK), Rune Theill – Co-founder of Rockstart Accelerator (Netherlands), Lyuben Belov – Co-founder of LAUNCHub (Bulgaria), Dylian Dimitrov – Founder of Eleven Startup Accelerator (Bulgaria).
