The European Entrepreneurship Foundation fosters entrepreneurship and an entrepreneurial culture, while helping building the next generation of European companies. They develop and disseminate proven programs that enhance entrepreneurial skills and abilities, improving the environment in which entrepreneurs start and grow businesses. They work together with serial entrepreneurs, leading angel investors and venture capital networks, and partner with leading business schools in order to promote entrepreneurship to MBA students.
Startup Workout Weekend is a unique acceleration program with the purpose to fuel the development of 10 tech startups through mentoring, networking and immediate feedback. The one-and-a-half day event takes place on April 26 and 27 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and its format comprises presentations by the participating teams to a panel debate including Q&A, a master class organized by the European Entrepreneurship Foundation, a film screening, mentoring, and networking.
The teams will get the chance to validate their business concept by pitching and discussing it with experienced entrepreneurs and investors. Among the mentors that are going to participate to Startup Workout Weekend there are: Peter Zaboji (Founder and President The European Entrepreneurship Foundation), Imre Hild (CEO at iCatapult, EEF Entrepreneur in residence and Seedcamp mentor), Lucian Todea (Founder & CEO of Soft32) or Adrian Gheară (serial entrepreneur, business angel investor and Co-Founder NeoByte solutions).
“The European Entrepreneurship Foundation was among the first to promote entrepreneurship in Cluj, as we did in Budapest, Bratislava, Prague and Sofia. We had a great experience here back in April 2010. So much happened in the entire region since and Romania has become a hot market. We were planning to come back for quite some time; finally How to Web triggered it when they offered to partner with us, and here we are organizing Startup Workout Weekend. We invite the best and brightest tech entrepreneurs to join us and submit their application before April 21st!”, said Peter Zaboji (Founder and President The European Entrepreneurship Foundation).
